It is common knowledge that remaining active is important to the well-being of any individual, young or old.

Legacy Lodge has an exercise room for tenant use equipped with several fitness machines.  The room also has a Wii where tenants can engage in activities.  On Saturday mornings a weekly chair exercise is offered by the staff at Legacy Lodge.

Mary Wheeling, a former Fitness Educator, has developed a walking and stretching program that each tenant can choose to do.  Mary has marked out distances within the building for winter walking and on the walking path that goes around the entire facility for the summer walkers.  Everyone is encouraged to record their walking distances.  For more information about the program visit growyoungfitness.com.
